So, I am trying to get back into writing more, so the intention of this post today is to just write whatever I can come up with in these moments. It may take some getting use to for me, so just bear with me as I work out the kinks ;) And each day, for the new stuff, I will ask you my readers to submit ideas for more poetry, or name the current poem. That way it's a collaboration between writer and reader! So here is is for today...
Two eyes do not see the way mine see
Two hands do not hold the way I hold
Two ears do not hear the things that I hear
No lips speak the words that are spoken from the depths
I can only be me, not who you wish me to be
You can only be you
These days can seem too short
And yet each day the hours go by slowly
Each time I close my eyes
I feel the intoxication again
I imagine the way it feels to be held by you
To see your smile
To hear your words
And I smile knowing
That each day it is a pleasure to love you more
