Arms of Love

This is a poem that I wrote within the weeks after I was saved and baptized at the age of 19. Throughout the last 7 years of my life, this poem has been one that has helped me the most. Now my road hasn't always been straight, and like many Christians I have struggled. But I have always asked the Lord for forgiveness and I know that he loves me and I love him. My faith is getting stronger every day and it is nice to know that through all of the misery that most of my poems reflect, something good and pure and real can be found.

ARMS OF LOVE

You came into my heart

Without a second thought

You have been near when I have needed you

You have never left me in the cold

I can come to you with anything

And you will answer all of my prayers

Your power surpasses my own

And your love fills even the deepest parts of my soul

You have given me everything that I need

And your words sound like sweet symphonies in my ears

I can feel you yearning to make me great

And I know that you have a plan for me

Lord, one day you will make me great

And one day you will come to me and say

"Come with me my child, be with me for eternity."

And I will follow you my God

And be happy in your arms of love.
